Application Instructions

• Testing of adhesion to surface should be done before installation.
• Do not apply when surface temperature is below 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Fill in cracks, seal porous surfaces and repair to a smooth finish, as required, avoid application to grout areas.
• Always apply to clean, dry, wax and oil-free surface. Allow ample time for drying.
• Peel off protective release paper.
• Press tape to prepared surface. Bond is increased by using a rubber hand roller.
• Ready for immediate use, no need to wait.
• Keep tape clean. Use mild floor cleaners as directed.
• Application to porous surfaces in not recommended.

Technical Data

Grit:    Size: 30 – 60 grit blend

Construction:   Blend-major components – aluminum oxide, silica carbide

Stripe:   Commercial grade reflective stripe OR photoluminescent glow-in-the-dark stripe

Thickness:   0.037”  +/– 0.002”

Coefficient of Friction:   Average COF: 1.06

Chemical Definition:   Consists of uniform coat of abrasive grit, securely bonded to a polymer substrate with a flexible isocynate/polyal emulsion in sufficient thickness to achieve optimum bond and grit exposure. The emulsion is UV blocked to resist color fade.

Adhesive:   The underside has a uniform application of a permanent type, solvent based, acrylic emulsion pressure sensitive adhesive.

Release Liner:   90# poly-coated Kraft release paper (liner)

The release liner is coated on both sides with polyethylene for weather and moisture resistance and treated on the adhesive side with silicone to assure easy removal of the liner from the product.

CANADA - Shipping costs for orders in the following Provinces are calculated by weight with a maximum of $35 USD. Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Ontario, Quebec, Saskatchewan. Please note these costs do not include any custom / border fees your country may charge. Actual shipping carrier will be based on product ordered and processing warehouse.

If there is an exception to your order, we will notify you via email.

Back ordered Items - If an Item becomes back ordered you will be notified regarding the estimated ship date.

Once your order is processed, shipping confirmation with tracking information will be emailed to you.

Prior to the application of any product, buyers must contact us to initiate a return within 14 days of receiving an item. On any returned item, Safe Way Traction will refund the cost of the item minus shipping and handling charges. Up to a 20 % restocking may apply. 

TUFF Coat products ship directly from the manufacturer and are not returnable.

Custom quoted orders and Made to Order products are non-returnable.

Deck strips are non-returnable.

No merchandise is to be returned without first contacting Safe Way Traction. Any authorized return merchandise must be carefully packed and in the same condition received. All returned merchandise must be shipped insured and freight prepaid. Some items may not be subject to return including, but not limited to, custom orders, discontinued items and large quantity orders. NO PARTIAL RETURNS ARE ACCEPTED.
