I bought a set of these reflective treads for the new deck I built. They are still in great condition after two years of blistering SoCal summer heat and two winter downpours. We are having our house remodeled now, and workers carrying sacks of cement, drywall, lumber and sand are tromping on the stair treads, and they still hold up fine. We hose off our deck regularly as well and they have not come loose.

Glow Stripe treads are designed to provide safety and navigation during power outages and other low-light situations. Minimize the hazards that these situations can cause, while at the same time installing a surface that prevents slipping regardless of the light conditions. And like all of our products, this anti-slip tape is made with a mineral abrasive surface that is built to last and stand up to heavy foot traffic.

Application InstructionsGuaranteed Quality

  • Testing of adhesion to surface should be done before installation.
  • Do not apply when surface temperature is below 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Fill in cracks, seal porous surfaces and repair to a smooth finish, as required, avoid application to grout areas.
  • Always apply to clean, dry, wax and oil-free surface. Allow ample time for drying.
  • Peel off protective release paper.
  • Press tape to prepared surface. Bond is increased by using a rubber hand roller.
  • Ready for immediate use, no need to wait.
  • Keep tape clean. Use mild floor cleaners as directed.
  • Application to porous surfaces in not recommended.

Construction:   Blend-major components – aluminum oxide, silica carbide

Stripe:   Commercial grade reflective stripe OR photoluminescent glow-in-the-dark stripe

Thickness:   0.037”  +/– 0.002”

Coefficient of Friction:   Average COF: 1.06

Chemical Definition:   Consists of uniform coat of abrasive grit, securely bonded to a polymer substrate with a flexible isocynate/polyal emulsion in sufficient thickness to achieve optimum bond and grit exposure. The emulsion is UV blocked to resist color fade.

Adhesive:   The underside has a uniform application of a permanent type, solvent based, acrylic emulsion pressure sensitive adhesive.

Release Liner:   90# poly-coated Kraft release paper (liner)

The release liner is coated on both sides with polyethylene for weather and moisture resistance and treated on the adhesive side with silicone to assure easy removal of the liner from the product.

Prior to the application of any product, buyers must contact us to initiate a return within 14 days of receiving an item. On any returned item, Safe Way Traction will refund the cost of the item minus shipping and handling charges. Up to a 20 % restocking may apply. 

TUFF Coat products ship directly from the manufacturer and are not returnable.

Custom quoted orders and Made to Order products are non-returnable.

Deck strips are non-returnable.

No merchandise is to be returned without first contacting Safe Way Traction. Any authorized return merchandise must be carefully packed and in the same condition received. All returned merchandise must be shipped insured and freight prepaid. Some items may not be subject to return including, but not limited to, custom orders, discontinued items and large quantity orders. NO PARTIAL RETURNS ARE ACCEPTED.
